Welcome to Chat
Community v4.0 Help page. Chatting is very simple with nothing
to download, no blinking screens or need to refresh*. The text
entry box and dropdown menus at the bottom of the chatrooms are your
basic chat functions. Use them in any combination as you'd
like; whisper an icon, action, and/or expression to just one
chatter, send a message with an icon, perform an action on the whole
room or just one chatter...there are many ways you can combine the
various options for a fun chatting experience!
To change rooms,
select a room from the dropdown menu on upper-right of the chatroom
and click Change Room.
The display under the
Roommates on the the right of the chatroom shows the number of
chatters in the room along with their nicknames.
To put another
chatter on ignore, select that chatter's name from the Roommates
list on the right of the chatroom and click Filter. To
unignore a previously ignored chatter, select that chatter's name
from the Roommates lis and click Unfilter.
To see all chatters
online, click the Who's Online button on the bottom-right of the
chatroom.
The Pass Note option
allows chatters to send notes to other chatters in real time.
Simply click the Pass Note icon on the upper-right of the chatroom;
the message window will open allowing you to send notes to other
chatters as well as checking notes you may have received
yourself. The display below the Pass Note icon shows the
number of notes passed to you by other chatters. * You may
need to click the Refresh button at the bottom right of the chatroom
to update this notes received display.
